Entries are now open for the 9th Chislehurst Chase which will take place on 17 September, 2017.
The 10k race starts and finishes on Chislehurst Common and is entirely off-road. A 2k Fun Run for children will be held on the same day.
The first Chase took place in 2009 as part of the Chislehurst Festival organised by the Chislehurst Society. The idea for the race came from Trustee Colin Yardley, who had been inspired by the horse racing that took place on the Common in Edwardian times.
The event was initially hosted by Chislehurst Commons, the charity that manages and maintains the 180 acres of land, but is now organised by Bridge Events Dartford with support from the charity.
The Chase has become an important part of Chislsehurst’s social calendar and runners come from far and wide to enjoy the off-road course through the Commons and Scadbury Park.
Bridge Events organises similar events throughout the year and is hosting the first full marathon on Chislehurst Commons on 6 August. See their website for more details.
Entries for the Chislehurst Chase must be registered online via the Bridge Events website.
